  • If you are looking for a thorough and painless dental cleaning, ask for Taylor at Pearl Dentistry. She is exceptionally meticulous, explains every step of the process, and goes out of her way to make sure you are comfortable.

  • I enjoy coming here for my routine teeth cleanings compared to any other dentist in the past. Thank you, Taylor, for being so personable, informative, & gentle with my teeth cleanings. Overtime, coming here has helped cure my dental anxiety! Thanks for being so great :)

  • Well, everyone here raves about Taylor. I kept reading it in the reviews and TBH I had major FOMO. But I got assigned to Jenn and now I’m genuinely confused. Can a hygienist review battle officially be declared? Because if Taylor is better than Jenn, she must have actual superpowers. Jenn was absolutely fantastic, and I refuse to believe there is anyone better!

  • Very holistic experience. They helped with both cosmetic and general dentistry issues. Jen was fantastic!

  • I had a great experience at this dental office today. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and made everything feel comfortable and stress free. The appointment itself went smoothly, and everything was explained clearly so I always knew what was happening. For the first time, I genuinely felt at ease at a dentist’s office, which says a lot. I really appreciate the kindness, professionalism, and care I received, and I’m actually not dreading my next visit

  • Recent new patient and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Everybody was friendly and knowledgeable, things were very efficient and the Dentist and hygienist were top notch! Update (after about 6 months and a couple fillings and crowns): Still couldn’t be happier with my experience at Pearl since I made the switch! Dr Jenna, Virginia and the whole staff are awesome! It’s like a well oiled machine and the process is smooth no matter why I’m there. The quality of care and the customer service is TOP NOTCH!

VII · The terms

Fees, stated plainly

You will never learn a price in the chair. Every plan is written, itemized, and fixed before work begins.

  • Written before work

Every plan is itemized and signed before treatment begins. The fee on the plan is the fee on the invoice.

  • Consultation, credited

The smile-study fee is credited in full against any treatment plan you accept within six months.

  • Financing, quietly

Staged payment schedules over 6–24 months are arranged in-studio for commissions over — no third-party marketing, ever.

  • Insurance, handled

We bill most PPO dental plans directly and give you a pre-treatment estimate of your portion. FSA and HSA cards are accepted.

How each treatment is quoted

Pearl. is a fee-for-service studio. We would rather quote you precisely than surprise you politely.

VIII · The neighborhood

Serving Charlotte and the Eastside

The studio sits above S Tryon St #110 with validated garage parking — ten quiet minutes from most of the Eastside.

IX · Questions

Asked before booking

The honest versions — cost, sensitivity, timelines, and what a first visit involves.

Do you take my insurance?

We accept most PPO dental plans and verify your exact benefits before your first appointment, so you see your out-of-pocket estimate in writing before any work is scheduled. Our coordinator files and, when needed, appeals claims on your behalf. If you have no insurance, the Pearl. Dentistry Reimagined - Tryon Street Smile Plan ($29/month) covers preventive care and discounts treatment 15%.

How soon can I get an appointment?

New patients are typically seen within the same week, and we hold two same-day slots each morning for urgent problems like a broken tooth or acute pain. Cosmetic consultations currently book about two weeks out.

I have serious dental anxiety. How do you handle that?

Gently and without judgment. We offer nitrous oxide, noise-cancelling headphones, weighted blankets, and extended appointment times, and we follow a strict raise-your-hand-and-we-stop rule. Many of our longest-standing patients arrived after a decade of avoiding dentists entirely.

What does a first visit cost?

Your first consultation and digital smile scan are free. A comprehensive new-patient exam with full digital X-rays and cleaning is without insurance, and every fee for any recommended treatment is quoted in writing before you commit to anything.

Do you treat children?

Yes — we are a family practice and see patients from age three up. Pediatric visits are shorter, slower-paced, and scheduled in the morning when kids do best. Sealants and fluoride are included in our preventive plans.

Are implants and root canals done in your office?

Yes. Our board-certified prosthodontist plans and restores implants in-house, and our endodontist performs microscope-guided root canal therapy on site. You keep one care team, one record, and one bill — no cross-town referrals.

Is your work guaranteed?

Crowns, veneers, and implant restorations carry: if one fails under normal use, we repair or remake it at no charge. Preventive visits are covered by our on-time guarantee — if we start more than ten minutes late, that hygiene visit is free.

Do you offer parking?

Yes — we offer validated garage or lot parking directly on-site, plus additional free short-term street parking nearby. The practice is also convenient to public transit for patients who prefer not to drive.
