Roots Southern Salon keeps the room small on purpose. Fewer people through the door each day means whoever looks after you has the time to look, listen and get it right — and a written record means your colour never depends on anyone’s memory, including ours.

Most houses sell transformations. We sell continuity: the same hands, the same standards, the eighth visit as considered as the first.

The servicesPage 04

Every discipline, one standard.

Every service in the Savannah house begins seated and ends with a plan — cut maps and colour formulas recorded to your card so the result is repeatable, chair to chair.

Services

The consultation costs nothing. Guessing does.

Twenty seated minutes, a strand test, and a written quote — before you commit to a chair.

The housePage 05

You are booking a person, not a chair.

One team, one shared record of your hair. Tenure is the house’s favourite credential.

What to expectPage 06

The appointment, in order.

Four movements, none of them rushed. The numbers are the sequence — each step exists so the next one can be exact.

The process
  1. Reserve

Request a time online or call the desk. The front desk confirms within the business hour and pairs you with the right chair for what you’re after.

  2. Consult

Twenty seated minutes before anything touches your hair: history, photographs, strand test if colour is involved, and an exact quote in writing.

  3. The work

Unhurried, sectioned, checked in daylight and mirror light. Colour formulas and cut maps go onto your card as they happen.

  4. Continuity

You leave with a home routine, a growth plan, and your next reservation held — the appointment most guests never give up.

The proofPage 07

Work that holds up in daylight.

No ring lights, no filters — chairs, mirrors, and hair as it walked out the door. Captions note the brief, because the brief is the point.

First we love coming here every year. My daughter had her first haircut with Alyssa. They had made her a goodie bag and really showered her with kindness and that meant the world to me so we continue to come every summer after a long 4 hour drive. Everyone is amazingly kind and thoughtful. My hair is not easy and is scary intimidating and a lot to handle. I even get nervous for the other person and end up feeling guilty. But this is a part of me that I am known for, long hair. I recently had a cut and I good not get comfortable with it. I can back with my mom and the owner say me right down and solved the issue. I already have compliments. I wait all year to come to this salon and talk about it to everyone. I’m incredibly loyal to the this team but now even more I want the recognition known out there that even if something wasn’t perfect or quite what you imagined come back and talk it through because they really care. Susan thank you

Riley was fantastic. She not only gave an excellent haircut but added some great conversation along the way. The combination made getting a haircut with Roots an enjoyable experience and eased any anxiety I had about coming in for the first time (just moved to Savannah). I plan to become a regular w her! Thanks again

Not only is the location stunning, but Riley is an amazing stylist there! If I could be her friend I would, she's truly the best! Cosmetology-wise and socially! Totally worth the price and I'd do it again if I lived in Sav, GA. 💕

I had a great visit. My stylist, Haley, was very attentive and did exactly what I wanted. She made good suggestions and was friendly. I would come visit again.

Questions, answered plainlyPage 12

Before you ask the desk.

The seven questions every new guest asks, answered the way we would across the front desk — plainly, and in writing.

Frequently asked questions
Why is the consultation separate from the appointment?

Because the consultation decides the appointment. Twenty seated minutes lets your stylist read your hair’s history, run a strand test if colour is involved, and quote the real cost and timeline in writing. You approve the plan before anything is booked — and the consultation itself is complimentary.

How far in advance should I book?

The floor books two to three weeks out; Saturday chairs and the private colour suites go first. Most guests hold a standing reservation so the question disappears. For a first visit, request a consultation online and the front desk will usually place you within the week.

What does a colour service actually cost?

Colour starts at , but the honest answer comes after a strand test — length, history, and how far you’re travelling from your current shade all change the formula and the hours. That’s why we quote in writing at consultation rather than publishing a menu that turns out to be fiction at the desk.

Can you fix colour done somewhere else?

Corrections are a house specialty, and the answer is almost always yes — staged. We won’t take your hair from black to platinum in one sitting, because keeping the hair on your head matters more than the before-and-after. Each stage is quoted and approved separately.

What if I don’t know what I want?

That’s the best possible starting point. Bring photographs of your hair at its happiest — not just references of other people — and your stylist will build the direction with you at consultation. The house rule: nobody leaves with a decision they were talked into.

Do you take walk-ins?

Rarely — nine chairs and a full book don’t leave much slack. If a cancellation opens same-day space, we offer it first to the waitlist, so call the desk and ask to be added. Blowouts are your best walk-in odds, mid-week before noon.

What is your cancellation policy?

Life happens: 48 hours’ notice moves any reservation without charge. Inside 48 hours we ask for half the quoted service, because your chair was held against other guests. A card secures the booking, but nothing is charged before your visit.
