How we work in Wake Forest
Teeth Cleaning
A cleaning in Wake Forest should answer the six-month question, not dodge it. We look at gums and enamel, do the work that is indicated, including deep cleaning when that is the finding, and say when home care is already doing its job. Informative staff is what patients already mention on Google, and that is the habit here. You should leave knowing whether the next visit is routine or a real concern.
Whitening
Stain from coffee and years of delay is a Heritage and Rolesville conversation as much as a cosmetic one. We can whiten in the office, including as part of The Dental Refresh when you want cleaning and bleaching the same day. Over-the-counter trays are milder and less even. We will not claim they do nothing, and we will not claim they match a supervised visit. If sensitivity is your history, say so before we start.
Dental Implants
Implant quotes in northern Wake swing wildly because offices bury the scan, the abutment, and any graft. Ask us for those lines. Traditional implant, full-arch thinking, and dentures are different jobs; we will not mash them into one slogan. All-on-4 versus all-on-6 versus a denture is a decision about bone, bite, and what you can maintain, not a brand name we paste on every missing tooth. Longevity depends on home care. We will not invent a success rate.
Invisalign
Minor alignment and overbite questions come up a lot once people are already in for hygiene. Invisalign is available. It is optional. If you are hunting for a general dentist and you have been burned by aligner discounts at the front desk, tell us that on day one. We can still map a cosmetic consult later. The cleaning does not have to become a sales hour.
Root Canals
Youngsville and Falls Lake patients often arrive asking whether a root canal is worth it versus pulling the tooth. If the root can be saved, keeping it protects the bone next door. Extraction is simpler this week and more expensive later if you replace it. We will show you the film, not a fear story. If the tooth is done, we will say extract.
Crowns & Bridges
A broken cusp or a missing tooth is a crown-or-bridge decision, and Wake Forest patients are right to want the reason in writing. Same-day crowns cut the temporary phase when the case fits that workflow. A bridge files down the neighbors; that tradeoff should be said out loud. We quote the restoration as itself, not as a gateway to a longer menu you did not ask for.
Emergency Dentistry
Hours are Monday through Friday. Call (984) 343-8221 and we will tell you if we can see you that day. Sedation is on the table for anxious pain visits. We require appointments. We do not staff nights as if we were a hospital bay.
Pediatric Dentistry
Families in Rolesville and Heritage often want the child and the parent on the same weekday trip into Raleigh. Pediatric care is part of this office. We do not outsource a simple kids' cleaning. Kind staff and a comfortable atmosphere are what reviewers already notice; that matters more to a nervous eight-year-old than a cartoon mural we do not have.
Veneers
Front-tooth shape and color are the veneer cases we actually discuss. Process first: what gets reduced, what the temp looks like, how shade is chosen. Affordability is case-by-case and itemized. We will not undercut a specialist by inventing a package price, and we will not push veneers on a tooth that needs a crown or a filling instead.
Wake Forest questions, answered
If I live in Wake Forest, is downtown Raleigh a realistic dentist trip?
Yes. Heritage, Rolesville, Youngsville, and Falls Lake are in our territory. Triangle patients already travel when the hygienist and the plan feel trustworthy. Durham and Chapel Hill are next to this same map. The office is 205 Fayetteville Street. Book Monday through Friday at (984) 343-8221.
How do you handle implant quotes so I am not surprised by a CBCT scan or graft?
The quote should name the post, abutment, and crown as separate lines, then add imaging or a bone graft only if diagnosis says they are needed. If an office gives one lump number, ask what is missing. We will not present a market rumor as our fee. You get the breakdown for your mouth after the exam.
Are you an independent office or a corporate chain?
We practice as Loren Dentistry in downtown Raleigh and we are part of Wells Family Dental Group. We shared in 2025 Diamond Awards recognition. If multi-location branding is a deal-breaker for you, that membership is a fact you should have. What we will not do is hide a treatment plan behind a brand name. Brad Cauthen wrote that Dr. Sherwani and Nicole explained each step and made him feel at ease. That is the visit we are trying to repeat.
Do I really need my teeth cleaned every six months if I brush and floss?
Home care cannot see under the gums the way a hygienist and an x-ray can. Some mouths stay quiet on a longer interval; some need deeper work sooner. The honest answer is diagnostic, not a calendar slogan. If we recommend a deep cleaning, we will say why, the way John Webb's visit was a real deep cleaning, not a polish with a new name.
