Skin Fadesin Denver, CO
Skin fades in Denver at Speakeasy barber lounge are blended to the skin without rushing the last pass, whether you want a mid, drop, or burst. If it has to stay office-friendly, say so and we keep the top in proportion.
A skin fade is the most technical thing a clipper does, and the place a rushed chair shows itself fastest. Ours is blended entirely by eye under bar light — no shortcut guard settings — from a zero-gap skin at the base up through a seamless gradient into the length on top. It is checked from three mirrors before you stand, because a fade that looks right in one mirror can betray a hard line in another. Done properly, it grows out evenly for weeks rather than turning into a shelf in ten days.
Inside skin fades
- A consultation on how low and how tight before the first pass
- Zero-gap blade work at the base, blended up by eye — no guard shortcuts
- A seamless gradient into the length on top, with the shape cut to your crown
- Edges and neckline finished with a straight razor for a crisp line
- A three-mirror check to catch any hard line before you leave the chair
- A cut engineered to grow out evenly, not collapse into a shelf in ten days

Set the height
We agree how low the fade drops and how tight it runs, and read your crown and growth so the top and the fade are cut as one shape.
Burst the base
A zero-gap blade opens the skin at the base, then the barber works the gradient up by eye under the bar light — the part no guard can fake.
Blend the top
The length up top is cut and connected into the fade so there is no ledge where the two meet, and the outline is set to your hairline.
Razor & check
Edges and neck are finished with a straight razor, and the whole cut is checked from three mirrors before you stand.
The book opens six weeks out. The chair is worth it.

How far ahead should I book?
Most weekday chairs are available three to five days out; Saturdays fill about two weeks ahead. Regulars on a Standing Chair never have to think about it — the shop holds their slot automatically on their cycle.
Can I request a specific barber?
Yes — and we recommend it. Every barber keeps his own book, and your service card stays with him. If your barber is away, the front desk will offer the colleague he would send you to, and your card travels across.
Do you take walk-ins, or is Speakeasy barber lounge appointment-only?
Speakeasy barber lounge is appointment-first. Each chair is booked in 45-minute blocks and never doubled, which is how the shop keeps its pace. If a chair opens on the day, call the shop and we will tell you honestly whether today is possible.
