Investment Managementin Scottsdale, AZ

Investment management in Scottsdale is about options that fit the household, a tailored strategy rather than a product push. The portfolio is built to sit inside the rest of your plan, not apart from it.

A portfolio is not a collection of good ideas; it is a policy, written down and followed when it is least comfortable to do so. We manage globally diversified portfolios against an investment policy statement we draft with you and revisit only when your life — not the headlines — changes. Costs are visible, rebalancing is rules-based, and every position answers to the plan rather than to a quarterly sales target.

What it covers

Inside investment management

  • A written investment policy statement, drafted with you and kept on file
  • Global diversification across asset classes, sized to your capacity for loss
  • Rules-based rebalancing — decisions made in advance, not in a downturn
  • Low-cost, transparent vehicles; no proprietary products, ever
  • Assets held at an independent custodian, titled in your name
  • Plain-English reporting that shows every position and every fee

How it works

From first conversation to standing stewardship.

  1. 01

    Read the whole balance sheet

Before a dollar moves we map every account, holding, and embedded gain — so the portfolio is designed around the taxes and timing you actually face, not a model off a shelf.

  2. 02

    Draft the policy

Together we set the target allocation, the ranges that trigger a rebalance, and the rules for cash and income. It goes in writing and becomes the standard we hold ourselves to.

  3. 03

    Transition deliberately

Accounts move on a schedule built around tax years and transfers in kind — never a single liquidation for our convenience. You approve each step before it happens.

  4. 04

    Steward by rule

We rebalance to policy, harvest losses where they help, and report plainly each quarter. You hear from us before any material change, not after it.

Questions

On investment management.

What does “fee-only fiduciary” actually mean for me?

It means we are paid one transparent advisory fee by you, and nothing by anyone else — no commissions, no revenue sharing, no proprietary products. We are legally and contractually obliged to put your interests first, and that obligation appears in writing in your agreement.

Do you work with my existing attorney and CPA?

Yes — by design. Estate documents, tax returns, and business agreements all touch the plan, so we coordinate directly with your counsel and accountant (or introduce you to several, if you need one). You should hear one plan, not three professionals.

How is moving my accounts handled — and taxed?

Deliberately. We map every holding for embedded gains before anything moves, transfer in kind wherever possible, and stage sales across tax years when the math favors it. You approve each step; nothing is liquidated for our convenience.

The first conversation costs nothing. Clarity rarely does again.
