Ours is blended entirely by eye under bar light — no shortcut guard settings — from a zero-gap skin at the base up through a seamless gradient into the length on top. It is checked from three mirrors before you stand, because a fade that looks right in one mirror can betray a hard line in another. Done properly, it grows out evenly for weeks rather than turning into a shelf in ten days.

How it goes

1. Set the height. We agree how low the fade drops and how tight it runs, and read your crown and growth so the top and the fade are cut as one shape.
2. Burst the base. A zero-gap blade opens the skin at the base, then the barber works the gradient up by eye under the bar light — the part no guard can fake.
3. Blend the top. The length up top is cut and connected into the fade so there is no ledge where the two meet, and the outline is set to your hairline.
4. Razor & check. Edges and neck are finished with a straight razor, and the whole cut is checked from three mirrors before you stand.
