Haircut & Beard Combo — $35
A beard is designed to your face, not lifted off a stencil. The shop’s beard lead maps the cheek line, the neck line, and the taper to your actual jaw and growth, sets the length by hand with shears, and finishes the edges with a straight razor for a line that looks grown rather than drawn. Your settings go on a card, so a trim eight months from now lands exactly where the first one did — the difference between a beard that is maintained and one that is merely tolerated.
What you get in the chair
- Cheek line, neck line, and taper mapped freehand to your jaw and growth
- Length set with shears for a natural edge, not a single clipper guard
- Straight-razor edges so the lines read as grown, not stencilled on
- A pass of house beard oil, brushed out and shaped before you leave
- Your line heights and settings recorded so every future trim matches
- Honest guidance on what your growth will and will not do, patch by patch
How it goes
- Map the face. The barber reads your jaw, your growth, and where the beard is thin or strong before deciding a single line — the map is yours, not a template.
- Set the length. Bulk is taken down with shears rather than one guard, so the beard keeps a natural edge and the taper follows the shape of your face.
- Razor the lines. Cheek and neck lines are finished with a straight razor for a clean, grown-in edge, and detailed around the moustache and corners.
- Oil & record. A pass of house oil is brushed through, and the line heights go on your card so year two matches year one exactly.
Asked about this service
Answers pulled straight from the front desk.
Can I request a specific barber?
Yes — and we recommend it. Every barber keeps his own book, and your service card stays with him. If your barber is away, the front desk will offer the colleague he would send you to, and your card travels across.
How far ahead should I book?
Most weekday chairs are available three to five days out; Saturdays fill about two weeks ahead. Regulars on a Standing Chair never have to think about it — the shop holds their slot automatically on their cycle.
Do you take walk-ins, or is Urban Fellow Barbershop & Shave Parlor appointment-only?
Urban Fellow Barbershop & Shave Parlor is appointment-first. Each chair is booked in 45-minute blocks and never doubled, which is how the shop keeps its pace. If a chair opens on the day, call the shop and we will tell you honestly whether today is possible.
Just walk in.
Grab the bench out front if there’s a short wait — you’ll be in a chair before the coffee cools.
